New England Style Home Furnishings Shop

Welcome!  Thank you for stopping in to see what's available today at New England Style Home Furnishings Shop!  I'm so excited to be opening my brand new online shop!  Please be patient as I'm currently busy finishing up some Custom Orders - I will be adding some FANTASTIC items as soon as I am caught up.  

It has been a long time dream of mine to open a shop here in charming New England.  I've been hunting for the perfect spot for some time now.  So many towns nearby that I would love to call HOME to my shop.  It's hard to find the perfect place that has all the elements I'm searching for.  But here are just a few of those things.

Old brick or cobblestone sidewalks... close proximity to other shops, restaurants & hopefully even near the water!  I'm picturing this adorable hand painted sign that dangles from a bracket... right next to the most lovely AWNING over the shop door or window that reads "New England Style - Furnishings for Your Home" or something like that.  Hopefully there is a big picture window and under it, a window box stuffed full of cascading and colorful flowers that will draw you in immediately.  The front of the store will have furniture, accessories, rugs, pillows, bookshelves... near the back will be distressed, old but sturdy, wooden bookshelves that house my many fabric sample books for custom window treatment and slipcover & pillow orders.  Maybe there's a coffee shop across the street or next door and the aroma of the fresh coffee can find it's way into my shop now and again.  There will be an open doorway in the back of the store that leads to my workroom in the back.  My design studio can be visible from the shop, in front of the wall of distressed wood bookshelves.  You see I'm envisioning an old, antique island there where I can have 2 stools, one for you and one for me - so that we can sit down (with a cup of coffee or tea?) and collaborate about what it is exactly that you desire for your home.

There it is in a nutshell.  I finally decided maybe it's not necessary to have a PHYSICAL shop just yet.  After all, I've already got the workroom and design studio in my home and I collaborate with my clients via e-mail and I go to the homes of my local clients as part of a consultation package and that is working out just fine.  So this is a baby step for me - my  ONLINE SHOP.  Perhaps it will eventually lead to this place I envision in my dreams.  Or maybe this shop WILL turn out to be all I've ever wanted.
